Jennifer L. Williams, Writer

My name is Jen. I grew up in the small town of Blair, Nebraska just north of Omaha. I lived in Madison, Wisconsin for about three years in my mid-twenties. I adored my three years in Madison and love the Midwest. It is filled with humble, polite, beautifully genuine people. However, one day I hope to travel and live in other parts of the country or even world for a different life experience. I work as a Recruiter for Aureus Medical Group. I have a wonderful sixteen year old daughter named Ashley who has taught me patience and unconditional love.

I never considered myself a “true” writer; I only knew that writing was my way of figuring out this world and my place in it. I have many thoughts rolling around in my brain constantly and often need to get them down in written form. I have learned that everybody is a writer if you have something important or meaningful to say. And writing has allowed me to explore what it is I believe and why. I welcome and encourage others to respond to my posts so that maybe our respectful dialogue can help us move forward in our understanding of this world we share and maybe even leave it a better place to live from where we started. We are all connected in some way, and we can all relate to each other’s stories. I only hope to make my small contribution so that the lessons I’ve learned and continue to learn may ripple out to others, with love.

Notes In the Margins refers to the many books I have read throughout my life that have affected me and changed my perspective. I often write notes in the margins of books to remind myself of the wisdom I have gained from a particular passage. Notes In the Margins refers to our process of digesting a great piece of literature or writing and processing its meaning and content. We process mass amounts of information daily, whether through a news article, a video segment, or even a blog post. I use this blog as a reflection of all the information I ingest on a daily basis and hope to produce thoughtful and reflective posts that challenge my readers to think and to view a particular issue from another point of view. Thank you for coming to my blog site and happy reading to all of you!
